Working with Community
Creating strong partnerships is the road to lasting relationships. If classroom teams mirror relationships, school communities mirror your familial "village". It's a large group of folks who have interconnected lives, all focused on the same goal. We all work in service of children, so let's find our common ground and examine how we are interconnected. Via video conferencing or through a few site visits, we can find the strings that tie everyone together and leave with lasting connections.
Your school community should feel like an interconnected village. People need to feel like they know one another, can depend on each other and have the support needed to thrive. One of the areas we can work on with the whole school is community connectedness. We do this through a series of experiences to build connection, trust and relationships.
Sometimes, working in schools can feel as though everyone is grasping for straws. Everyone is reaching for what they believe will help them succeed in their own personal work.
Our work is to find the shared goals and values that allow us to focus less on grasping for unknown straws, but rather for the hands of our community of support.
There are various throughlines that prove the ways we are interconnected, and that is how we thrive. Let's spend some time working on the ways that your community members are all focused on the same mission, vision and values, brought together to work in service of children.
